Michelle graduated magna cum laude from Howard University in 1989, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She has practiced in a variety of clinic settings but specifically orthopedics and sports medicine since 1998. She has continued to expand her knowledge through yearly, continuing education courses and/or conferences and is also pursuing a certification in Pilates geared toward the rehabilitation population.
She currently treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions but takes a special interest in the treatment of shoulder, knee and ankle. Her treatment approach includes the incorporation of varied manual techniques, exercises and functional training in order to accomplish rehabilitation goals of return to sport and/or activity. She also emphasizes patient education to ensure: understanding of their condition, intervention rationale and injury prevention.
