We are pleased that you have chosen us to provide your physical and/or occupational rehabilitation.  SMARTherapy stands for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Therapy.  Our approach is to consistently find the smartest approach for each patient.

We offer comprehensive orthopedic physical therapy, training and rehabilitation, including, pre and post surgical programs, as well as treatment of acute and chronic conditions.  We have a variety of talented physical therapists with expertise in virtually every orthopaedic condition, who treat patients of all ages.  Our association with your orthopaedic surgeon, ensures direct communication and seamless care—no need to worry that lines are getting crossed.

 Patient Information

  • We ask that you help us to provide the best possible care by being on time and prepared for each visit. This means arriving 20 minutes prior to your appointment to complete necessary forms and bringing appropriate clothing for your visit.  For example: shorts for ankle and knee injuries, tank top or loose T-shirt for shoulder and neck injuries. We have convenient changing rooms available with lockers and showers. Please bring a lock if you will need to secure any valuables.
  • New Patient Forms Patient Registration pdf_icon, Medical History pdf_icon, Privacy Notice pdf_icon. You are welcome to fill these forms at your convenience and bring it to our office at the time of your first visit.

Parking: There is parking in the building by the hour or parking across the street at the Chevy Chase Pavilion near Giant.  We are also one block north of the Friendship Heights Metro Station on the Red line.  Make sure to use the Western Ave exit from Metro.
